Anupam Kher Has His NCC ID Card Framed In His Office; Here’s Why

Anupam Kher’s NCC ID-Card Is Framed At His Office In Actor Prepares

It was time to sit down in Anupam Kher’s office and speak with him after a thorough tour of his acting institute, Actor Prepares. Even this space was adorned with photos, books, framed postcards, and other memorable stuff. We saw his NCC identity card on the table and were inquisitive about it. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces. An NCC ID card is for their members.

Anupam Kher began by enlightening us about his framed NCC identity card dated December 16th, 1971, on the desk of his office. It is the only picture framed on his desk and he was eager to talk about why it is so special for him. The photographed young actor was barely recognisable!

Here Is The Reason Why

The actor belongs to a non-Bollywood background and shared the reason behind framing his identity card. He said, “I keep the NCC identity card here because I need to remind myself that I don’t lose my mind and that I started from here. When I come inside this office, I see him and it also is very nostalgic and it also makes me feel very proud of myself but it also keeps me grounded.” 

It indeed was a wholesome moment we were grateful for it. Slowly, we began going down memory lane and talked about the other childhood pictures, bounced cheques and more. Watch the episode to know about it all!
