Actor Rituraj Singh last seen on the TV show Anupamaa, passed away at the age of 59 due to a cardiac arrest. He had been hospitalised due to a pancreatic illness. His friend, actor Amit Behl confirmed his demise as the industry has poured in condolences for the stellar actor.

Actor Amit Behl stated to The Indian Express that Rituraj Singh passed away at 12:30 am. Amit Behl further stated that Rituraj Singh was unwell and hospitalised 15 days back due to pancreatic issues. The actor returned home but since he was feeling very weak, his family rushed him to the hospital. However, Rituraj Singh got a cardiac arrest before reaching the hospital.
Actor Sandip Sikand stated to The Indian Express that he received the unfortunate news on WhatsApp groups in the morning and he has been in shock. Sandip Sikand worked closely with the actor in the show, Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii. Sandip Sikand reminiscences the warm welcome given by Rituraj Singh on the show. Apart from being a brilliant actor, Rituraj Singh was one of the finest human beings he has ever known, quips, Sandip Sikand.

Rituraj Singh’s full name was Rituraj Singh Chandrawat Sisodia. Born in Kota, he settled in Mumbai at the age of 12 after moving from the USA. Before featuring in television shows and films, Rituraj worked in Delhi theatre for 12 years. The actor has a vast filmography which includes films like Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Satyameva Jayate 2, Thunivu and more. He has worked in television shows like CID, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Diya Aur Baati Hum and Hitler Didi to name a few. He was last seen in the TV show Anupamaa, where he played the role of Yashpal, a restaurateur who gave employment to Anupamaa.
The television and film industry is mourning the sudden demise of the talented actor.
