Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, was in her favourite beach town, Goa, to interview politician, Anurag Singh Thakur, for the first time! He served as the Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs and Information and Broadcasting and strived to reform rules and regulations for a brighter future for India. In this video, we converse about food, politics, travel, and more when he revealed his thoughts on Goa, a popular travel destination in our country.
Anurag Thakur Talked About How Goa Means Has Different Meaning For Different People
Anurag Thakur hails from Himachal Pradesh and right as we began the episode, we asked his preferences for beach or mountain locations. The politician set the record straight by stating that his birthplace and growing-up years were spent in the beautiful mountains of Himachal while beaches are extremely close to his heart. All in all, it is a mixture of these scenic landscapes for him.
He highlighted how Goa is not only close to his heart but a million others around the world! Anurag said, “When it comes to Goa, it is not only an attractive tourist attraction for us, Indians, but also foreigners. It offers a certain sense of calmness and peace.” Anurag spoke about how this state offers numerous locations for shooting, concerts, raging parties, and appetising Goan cuisine to all globetrotters.
Apart from these aspects, our guest also emphasised how some folks visit Goa to find a sense of self amidst the chaos that is life. In this scenario, the peace and natural beauty of Goa are incredibly helpful. So, a simple trip to the beach, watching the waves lashing at the shore can calm one’s senses.
