Anurag Thakur Talked About His Hometown, Hamirpur
Anurag Thakur hails from the charming town of Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh. We wanted to learn more about his hometown and its specialities. Referring to himself, “Hamirpur ki sabse khas baat yeh hai ki Hamirpur ka beta aapke samne baitha hai,”
He highlighted that the citizens of Hamirpur put faith in him to represent their town and Himachal Pradesh on a larger scale through politics. The politician continued that, with the love and support of his hometown, he could share the incredible tales of Hamirpur on Curly Tales. This surely put a big smile on Kamiya’s face.

Himachal Pradesh’s Contribution To Army
Anurag also shared about the relentless contribution of Himachal Pradesh to the Army. Our guest emphasised that this state accounted for the greatest number of martyrs during the 1999 Kargil War. He went on to say that for the Kargil War, four Param Vir Chakra (PVC), India’s highest military decoration, were given out. Two of them were bagged by Captain Vikram Batra and Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar, again two soldiers from Himachal Pradesh.
He concluded by saying that Himachal Pradesh is indeed a small state but has major contributions towards the safety and protection of India. We appreciate and salute all the soldiers serving in the Army, Air Force and Marine Commando Force for protecting Indians 24/7.
