It’s no secret that UAE citizens and residents use Emirates ID as the main form of identification or resident card. Lately, there have been many developments and updates regarding this. As it happens, you can now also apply for Emirates ID within 24 hours! And in a round of the latest developments, there’s a new registration form that has been released. In fact, the Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security UAE, tweeted a video informing about the new changes in the Emirates ID Card Registration Form.

In a tweet by the official account of Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security UAE, the changes to the new registration form were mentioned. Here’s what you need to know about this new Emirates ID registration form:
- The forms have been redesigned, keeping up with ICP’s visual identity.
- It includes the picture of the applicant in the form on the top left.
- A Quick Response (QR) code has been added to enable tracking of the Emirates ID application status.
- The next step of the application process is explained in a dedicated part.
- The name of the courier company delivering the Emirates ID is added to the bottom left of the form.
- A QR code for the ‘Customer Voice Gateway’ has been provided. Scanning the code, applicants can directly visit the ‘Customer Voice Gateway’ web portal. It handles all the complaints and queries related to ICP services.
- A second QR code allows the applicant to change the Emirates ID fingerprint scan appointment date.

Printout Of The Form To Be Given Back To Applicant After Submission By Typing Centre
These changes have been incorporated to make the application process more seamless and efficient. Moreover, in a report by Gulf News, there is mention of the fact that once applicants get their form filled and submitted by typing centres to the ICP, the printout will be given to the applicants. Using the aforementioned features, applicants will be able to stay informed about the next step in the process, the status of their applications, and the Emirates ID fingerprint scan appointment date.
