From food intake to keeping stable blood sugar levels, here’s a list of things that you might want to keep in mind.

The Saudi state agency, which is in charge of the two holiest sites of Islam has issued an advisory for Muslim diabetics. Yes, according to a report by Gulf News, it was mentioned that they are advised to start their rituals at the Grand Mosque in Mecca only after taking their medications and eating food. They have further been advised to halt their rituals if they feel a sudden drop in their blood sugar levels. It’s worth mentioning that the General Authority For Care Of The Two Holy Mosques mentioned that people who are diabetic are advised to take their medicines along when they are present at the Grand Mosque. Not to mention, they have also been advised to keep their feet protected against any potential harm while walking.

They’ve Been Advised To Drink Ample Water

Moreover, they’ve been advised to use an electric shaver instead of a razor blade! Additionally, comfort table socks, and seeking medical assistance at health centres if required, have also been encouraged.

It’s worth mentioning that these guidelines have come at a time when the Umrah Season has picked up in Saudi Arabia. With the kingdom expecting approximately 10 million Muslims from across the world to perform Umrah, it’s certainly going to be quite busy. At this point, it’s worth mentioning that Muslims who hold entry visas for personal, visits, and tourists, they are allowed to undertake and also visit the Al Rawda Al Sharifa.
