As mentioned in a report by Khaleej Times, smart vehicles will test new drivers in Ras Al Khaimah as the driver’s test village was launched. The aim is to transform the driving test experience, as revealed by Lieutenant Col Hassan Al Zaabi, who is the Head of Drivers Licensing Department. In fact, the innovative features and benefits of the system not only eliminate human intervention but also enhance the accuracy of testing.
As such, the report also mentions that the new system ensures all trainees can undergo rigorous preparation. This can be undertaken at accredited driving schools in Ras Al Khaimah, where they will be trained to navigate the entire test process. The process begins at starting the vehicle after which they will be expected to execute three required maneuvers before they can return to the starting point. And the testing is applied at internal stages where they can obtain their license.

With eight internal and external cameras, the vehicle monitors every aspect of the test.
