Arunachal Pradesh Hit By 2 Earthquakes Of 3.7 And 3.4 Within 2 Hours; No Damage Or Casualty Reported

The Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh was rocked by two earthquakes within two hours. Tremors were reported in the east and west regions of Kameng during the early hours of March 21, Thursday. The first earthquake was measured to be 3.7 magnitude on the Richter scale and the second was 3.4. So far, there have not been any reports of casualties or damages owing to the two earthquakes.

Arunachal Pradesh Hit By Two Earthquakes In Two Hours

According to an article which was recently published by the Asian News International or ANI, two earthquakes struck the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. The two earthquakes happened within just a couple of hours.

Both earthquakes struck in the wee hours of Thursday. The first earthquake, which was 3.7 magnitudes, struck at 1:49 AM. As per the information provided by the National Center for Seismology on X (formerly known as Twitter), the epicentre of the earthquake was in West Kameng and its depth was 10 kilometres.

The second earthquake, which was 3.4 magnitudes, struck at 3:40 AM. Its epicentre was in East Kameng and its depth was 5 kilometres. A third earthquake also hit the region shortly after. This quake was measured to be 3.2 magnitudes and its depth was also 5 kilometres. It took place at 5:13 AM.

No Damage Or Loss Of Life Reported So Far Owing To The Quakes

Fortunately, though, no loss of life or damage to private or government property has been reported so far owing to this series of earthquakes.

A couple of weeks ago, Himachal Pradesh, too, was jolted by a couple of tremors. The impacted regions included Mandi, Lahaul, and the famous tourist spot Spiti. No serious damage was caused during these earthquakes as well.
