Khushi Kapoor And Jahnvi Kapoor Used To Enact Movies As A Kid

Coming from a family where everyone is a part of the Bollywood film industry, the decision to become an actress must have come quite naturally for both Khushi Kapoor and her sister Janhvi Kapoor. However, we were curious to know at what point in her life Khushi Kapoor realised that she wanted to act. 

She revealed that during the last two years of her school life, she dropped most of her subjects and focused more on theatre, along with basic subjects like English and math. She continued that she has grown up, not just watching movies but also the conversations at home also revolved around filmmaking. When she was younger, Janhvi and she would enact scenes from their favourite movies. 

One of their favourites at the time was Om Shanti Om, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Khushi shared that she and her sister used to reenact the iconic scene where Deepika’s dupatta gets caught on Shah Rukh’s arm, followed by her signature wave. They would even take turns playing Shanti Priya, Deepika’s character in the movie.

She Talked About Her Favourite Actors

Learning about her love for movies, we were curious to know about which actor she has always looked up to. Khushi Kapoor revealed that as soon as Om Shanti Om was released, she instantly became a fan of Deepika Padukone. It was a very exciting era for both her and her sister. 

She also revealed that she has always admired Priyanka Chopra. When Priyanka’s song ‘Desi Girl’ was released, the sisters, like the rest of the world, were hooked on it. Even now, whenever she meets Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra, she is in awe of them. Khushi says that their presence in every room is phenomenal.
