Dubai is flocked with many high-end restaurants. And this list is also inclusive of many Michelin Star restaurants. But usually, the Michelin star diners are equipped with certain cuisine or might be providing the best of all. But today we have heard for the very first time in Dubai a vegetarian restaurant has received a Michelin star. Let’s hear more about its achievements.

Avatara, The Michelin Star Veg Restaurant

It takes some effort to create vegetarian Indian food without common ingredients like paneer, mushrooms, onions, and garlic. Chef Rahul Rana of the Avatara in Dubai has not only accepted this challenge, but his meal has received its first Michelin star. The sole vegetarian Indian restaurant in Dubai to be listed in the esteemed Michelin Guide Dubai 2023.

Avatara presents a contemporary avatar of methodologies, philosophies, and the narrative of soulful Indian cuisine. Vegetarian cuisine has long been associated with limits. The goal is to dispel these preconceptions and provide a distinctive eating experience that highlights the virtually infinite opportunities that vegetarian cuisine can provide.

At Avatara, the chef’s mission is to provide a distinctive eating environment that highlights the countless possibilities that vegetarian cuisine can provide. Mushrooms and paneer are not served here. It can be difficult to complete a 16-course, all-vegetarian degustation session. Additionally, we don’t utilise any faux meat products in the restaurant since they don’t want customers to visit only to get their meat fixed. By treating veggies, fruits, lentils, grains, and millets with the utmost care and preparing them with fantastic tastes and textures, they are actually offering them an experience.
