Avneet Kaur Credits Her Grandfather For Convincing Her Parents To Shift To Mumbai From Jalandhar

Avneet Kaur is a talented actress who has been part of some of the biggest TV shows in India. Having started her career as a child actor, Avneet Kaur’s journey began from the humble abode of Jalandhar to the buzzing city of Mumbai. While chatting with our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, during a Sunday Brunch episode, Avneet humbly credited her family for her big shift.

Avneet Kaur Shares How She Moved To Mumbai From Jalandhar With Her Parents

While enjoying a scrumptious, healthy spread at Blah, Kamiya asked Avneet about who she stays with. When Avneet replied, it was her parents, the Kamiya wanted to know how Avneet’s parents agreed to shift all the way from Jalandhar to Mumbai. Moving cities isn’t an easy task for parents who have built their lives in a specific city. Avneet Kaur replied that she auditioned for Dance India Dance (DID) Li’l Masters at the age of seven.

It was a difficult decision for her parents to shift to Mumbai for their young daughter’s passion for dance. Avneet Kaur’s extended family were all from Punjab, and she didn’t have any loved ones staying in Mumbai. That’s when her Dadu (grandfather) gave her parents the confidence to let their daughters take risks in life and go for dance auditions in Mumbai. He not just empowered his seven-year-old granddaughter but her parents as well.

It Has Been 14 Years Since The Family Shifted Base

“It’s okay if you face failure, but at least you tried,” Avneet reveals, was her grandfather’s sound piece of advice for the family. With her parents’ blessings and everyone’s hard work, they were successfully able to shift to Mumbai and help Avneet achieve her dream. It’s been 14 years since Avneet and her family relocated to Mumbai from Jalandhar. The actress revealed that just like most Indian parents, her parents would often tell her to dance and act as a child in front of loved ones. She revealed that her parents didn’t care about her brother; rather, they joked about banking on her to show her talent.
