As he prepares to open the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport and the Ayodhya railway station, the city is a hive of activity. And that is not all! According to Hindustan Times reports, Modi intends to lay the groundwork for 29 projects totalling an incredible ₹3,284.60 crore to spark a wave of development.
This is more than just a quick visit. With a roadshow and a sizable public gathering, Modi has a busy schedule. Commissioner of Ayodhya Gaurav Dayal revealed the details of the arrangements, making sure that everything was in perfect order for the PM’s visit.
Dayal underscored careful planning, stressing hospitals’ preparedness, and even establishing fallback plans for upscale services to guarantee smooth operation. The city expects a spike in visitors after January 22—roughly 50,000–55,000 per day, as estimated—due to the opening of the airport and train station. The administration is alert and ready for this wave of people.

Ayodhya Mandir’s Inauguration Marks A Landmark Moment
As per the reports from the Hindustan Times, everyone is alert. On January 22nd, the idol of Lord Ram will be dedicated to the recently built temple. The Ramotsav, a series of festivities that will erupt in celebration from December 30 to January 22, has a hefty budget of ₹100 crore, which the Uttar Pradesh government is spending without cutting any corners.
A major beautification drive is in motion as the city gets ready for this momentous religious occasion. To accommodate the approximately 7,000 guests—3,000 of whom are VVIPs—for the consecration ceremony, roads are being widened and infrastructure is being renovated.
