Just a few months back, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Ayodhya Dham Railway Station. This new station was built with world-class facilities and infrastructure that can easily be compared to an international airport! However, the deplorable conditions of this station right now have raised many questions. Many videos have recently emerged online highlighting the unhygienic conditions at this newly inaugurated railway station. People are questioning the civic sense of travellers coming to the holy city.
The Unhygienic State Of Ayodhya Dham Railway Station
Ever since the inauguration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the holy city has seen a massive increase in the number of travellers. To facilitate and manage so many tourists, the authorities developed a new railway station and even an airport in the city! However, despite the growing infrastructure, the unclean state of the Ayodhya Dham Railway Station has made people question the maintenance and civic sense of the authorities as well as the common people. There are many pictures and videos floating online that show the deplorable conditions of this newly inaugurated railway station.
One can see litter on station floors, people sleeping on the lawns as well as on the floor of the waiting area, and even hanging clothes for drying inside the station. What’s worse is that you can also find paan and gutka stains, and overflowing dustbins around the station. This has made people question if heavy penalties and entry charges should be applied at the station to avoid such a condition.
Railways Post Pictures Of Cleanliness & Sanitation At The Station
The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Northern Railway posted pictures of maintenance staff thoroughly cleaning the Ayodhya Dham Railway Station. They emphasised the importance of cleanliness by the staff and requested people for their cooperation in this effort.
The authorities can build and maintain any infrastructure to some extent. At the end of the day, it’s the duty of the citizens to maintain the sanctity of a place. We hope people understand this basic civic duty as the citizens of India and think before littering around. Share your thoughts on this in the comments!
