Accommodation plays a pivotal role, with families prioritising clean, safe, and versatile lodgings. Hotels remain the primary choice (57 per cent), but there’s a growing appetite for unique experiences like culturally immersive stays — ryokans, homestays, and treehouses are gaining popularity.

Families seek destinations that balance multiple needs. For 44 per cent, safety and security top the list of priorities. Affordable pricing, too, remains crucial for as much as 34 per cent. For 31 per cent, family-friendly attractions are essential. Accessibility for all age groups, too, is paramount for 26 per cent.
