Oil spills can cause damage to the floor such as sticky stains and more such problems. To avoid any such unnecessary circumstances at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir during Diwali festivities, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust decided to use peacock-shaped diyas this year. According to a report by Hindustan Times, these earthen diyas are designed specially in a way focusing on not damaging the temple floor from oil used in lighting diyas.

The Temple Trust has arranged about 700 earthen diyas to decorate the mandir this Diwali. They will use these special diyas primarily on the sanctum sanctorum and ensure no oil spills from them and affect the wide surface. In conversation with the Hindustan Times, the Trust shared the significance of not lighting diyas in many spots. In 2024, Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir will not light diyas in definite places to prevent the risks of black flame marks.

The plan for this Deepotsav is to use peacock-shaped diyas to decorate the temple and beautify the sanctum sanctorum. Vibrant flowers and splendid lights will adorn the temple premises on this significant festival. The Trust also stated about not using Chinese products at the temple.
