The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is an organisation that provides development and humanitarian aid to children around the world. They focus on child protection, survival, education, social policies and providing emergency relief to them. In a conference, UNICEF India announced their National Ambassador, a National Award-winning Bollywood star, Ayushmann Khurrana, to protect and help every child and to ensure their voices are heard..

UNICEF India’s representative, Cynthia McCaffrey, stated that Ayushmann Khurrana has been a committed celebrity advocate for the past two years. Further, she said they are glad that he is using his voice to challenge social norms and stand with the children. She also pointed out that his voice is what resonates with UNICEF. And that they are delighted to welcome him as the National Ambassador.

Ayushmann Khurrana Shows Gratitude

The actor expresses his gratitude for being a National Ambassador for UNICEF India. And he states that he has interacted with children and talked with them about cyberbullying, gender equality, mental health, and other topics. He speaks passionately about issues faced by children. Moreover, he pledges to continue to be a strong voice for children’s rights.

In September 2020, Ayushmann Khurrana was appointed as the celebrity advocate. And the prime focus was to advocate for broadening the child rights agenda and ending violence against children.
