Many meetings have been held between officials from Bahrain and Japan to lead this campaign of promoting Bahrain in Japan as a tourist hub. In order to examine methods to improve bilateral cooperation, Dr Nasser Qaedi, CEO of the BETA, met with senior Japanese authorities in the tourism, hospitality, entertainment, trade, and industry sectors several times while on an official visit to Tokyo.

These meetings had the sole aim of increasing the Japanese tourist count in Bahrain and Dr Qaedi made this quite clear to the Japanese Authorities.

In addition, Qaedi discussed the prospect of making investments in Bahrain with the Japanese. The discussions had pointers like building new locations with well-known Japanese restaurant owners and hotel managers in that country. Agreements for unique travel packages and alliances with regional airlines were the main topics of conversation with travel professionals. In order to assure their involvement in upcoming events and exhibitions in Bahrain, Qaedi also visited Japanese jewellery organisations and firms.

Qaedi praised the growth of the Japanese tourism industry, praising its rich history and variety of attractions that have made it a leader in Asia. The goal of Bahrain’s 2022–2026 plan was to boost tourism’s contribution to the nation’s GDP and draw more visitors from around the world, particularly from East Asia. And we believe that the procedure will start soon following Dr Qaedi’s consultations with the Japanese authorities. So we assume that the economy generated by Japanese tourism would be of great importance to Bahrain.

We look forward to news of Bahrain’s packages regarding travel and other events that will make the country a more attractive destination for Japan and other countries to visit.
