The authorities of the city made the announcement of the spike in tourist taxes just some time back. Now travellers will need to pay an increased amount of tax for exploring the city. The new changes will come into action by 1 April 2023.

The current tourist tax will be increased by €2.75 from 1 April onwards. They need to submit the amount in the municipal fee. Not only in 2023, but the tax will be increasing the next year as well. In 2024, the tourist tax will see the amount increase to €3.25. This increase in the tax amount is applicable to all official tourist lodging only. These lodgings need to be in the prominent districts of the Spanish city.
