Bengaluru is now home to a spectacular new National Cricket Academy marking a milestone for India’s ever-growing cricket talent’s advancement. On Friday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) inaugurated the fascinating academy named Centre of Excellence. State-of-the-art infrastructure and cutting-edge facilities are the biggest highlights of the swanky establishment.

BCCI launches incredible projects and new establishments and finalises new decisions to develop young cricket talent in India. The inauguration of the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru is a significant addition to nurturing upcoming talents and providing a wonderful space for their various needs. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah and President Roger Binny inaugurated the new infrastructure.

The Karnataka capital has a National Cricket Academy for cricketers. The new one is surely set to become a primary environment for young individuals to learn, train, and grow at grassroots levels. Spread over a humongous area of 40 acres, the Centre of Excellence features incredible indoor and outdoor areas for practice.

Offering the best opportunities to enhance cricketers’ skills, this academy has opened its doors with three world-class playing grounds, 45 practice pitches, an Olympic-size swimming pool, and indoor cricket pitches. In addition, each outdoor net cricket pitch has been bordered perfectly using safety nets.

Apart from extraordinary facilities to improve and nurture India’s current and future cricketers’ talent and expertise, there are sports science facilities, designated recovery services, rehabilitation management, and medicine facilities. Also, cricketers are set to get access to comprehensive training programs and an array of phenomenal coaching resources here.

The world-class Centre of Excellence near Kempegowda International Airport is not only a safe and the best environment for cricketers to enhance their skills but it is also ready to open its doors to Olympians. Nurturing athletes and providing them with state-of-the-art resources and facilities are a major priority.

  • Ground A has an 85-yard boundary. It offers 13 Mumbai red soil pitches, floodlights, and broadcasting facilities, according to a report by India TV.
  • In addition, Ground B and Ground C have 75-yard boundaries. These are the practice grounds.
  • To create the best space for cricketers, pitches have been curated with soil and turfs from different places.
