Appetising dishes cooked using fish has always been a favourite amongst Bengali foodies. Fish preparations hold a special corner in Bengalis’s hearts. Among the vast options of delicacies, Chingri Malai Curry is undoubtedly one of the most preferred dishes to enjoy on special occasions. From birthdays to weddings to celebrations, this recipe rich in coconut milk is a mandatory dish on festive menus.

The speciality of this traditional Bengali dish is that only Golda Chingri (giant-sized freshwater prawn) and Bagda Chingri (tiger prawns) are used to cook it. The stew is enriched in coconut milk and aromatic whole spices. The blend of coconut-ty taste and Indian spices adds delectable flavour and taste to this rich and creamy gravy. Relish the deliciousness with steamed rice.
