Aymen Aslam had been having a tough week and was feeling down. His girlfriend suggested they join a “mushroom walk in Cubbon Park, which seemed like an odd idea at first. To his surprise, Nikhil Kamath also attended the event. It was a quintessential Bengaluru experience, making the Sunday morning truly exceptional.
Cubbon Park Mushroom Walk
The walk was organised by Nuvedo1, a company passionate about mushrooms and their health benefits. Aymen admitted he hadn’t previously thought much about mushrooms beyond their culinary uses, but Nuvedo1’s enthusiasm made him curious.
Aymen runs a company called Klick Consulting , which focuses on helping D2C brands with retention and repeat purchases. He noted that, although he was initially unfamiliar with the field, he was now genuinely impressed. Even if one wasn’t interested in this line of work, simply being in Cubbon Park on a Sunday morning was enriching. The park was filled with nature, and mushrooms were plentiful if one looked closely.
Guided Tour Through Cubbon Park
There’s a saying that mushrooms lie in the eyes of the beholder, says Aymen. He considered skipping the walk due to its quirky nature. However, he learned an important lesson: never cancel plans involving Cubbon Park. Despite his initial reservations, the day turned out to be enjoyable, and he expressed gratitude to Nuvedo1 for organising the event.
Aymen encouraged anyone intrigued by the mushroom walk to contact Nuvedo1 for future events. The guided tour through Cubbon Park allowed participants to hunt for various mushrooms, learn to identify them, and appreciate their ecological roles. Although the idea might have sounded unusual, the awe-inspiring experience proved real.
The walk was not only educational but also a chance to meet fellow nature enthusiasts. The guide provided detailed insights into different mushrooms, their ecological importance, and potential health benefits. It was a unique experience that combined education with the joy of being outdoors.
For anyone seeking a different Sunday activity, Aymen recommended trying a mushroom walk in Cubbon Park. It offered a refreshing break from the usual routine and a chance to engage with nature and interesting people, including the likes of Nikhil Kamath.
