Bengaluru Airport has taken a significant leap in logistics infrastructure by launching a state-of-the-art logistics park spread over 8 acres. Bengaluru Airport City Limited (BACL) and CapitaLand Investment’s India logistics platform have developed the ₹200 crore facility to strengthen cargo operations and position the city as a major logistics hub in South India.
Logistics Park To Enhance Airport Cargo Capacity
The Bengaluru logistics park is strategically located within the Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) premises. It features a built-up area of over 500,000 square feet, equipped to support warehousing, distribution, and multimodal logistics operations. According to The Economic Times, the facility will cater to sectors including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), e-commerce, automotive, and electronics.
The logistics park offers scalable warehouse solutions, plug-and-play capabilities, and seamless access to air and road transport. These features are designed to reduce operational delays and enable faster cargo movement across domestic and international markets.
Focus On Sustainability And Smart Infrastructure
The Bengaluru logistics park prioritises sustainability by incorporating green building features such as solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and energy-efficient systems. The facility includes electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and automation for smarter warehouse management.
