Bengaluru Witnesses Yet Another Auto Rickshaw Brawl
A video shared by X user Pawan Kumar showed the driver alleging that the woman booked his auto. However, later the woman cancelled it to take a Rapido ride. The passenger seated in the auto kept insisting that she didn’t book the second ride. He accused her of booking two autos and cancelling his ride booked via Ola. He expressed his frustration over her negligence while filming her reaction. He called her behaviour “inconsiderate” towards auto drivers.

The woman, frustrated, said she opened two apps only to compare the prices. But she didn’t finalise any booking. During the confrontation, she called her father and spoke in Hindi. She told her father that the auto driver was harassing her. Once again, she told her father that she didn’t make the booking. The passenger told the auto driver that the problem was with the Ola app. And told the driver, “Zyada nautanki math karo” ( Don’t create drama).

Viral Video Sparks Debate On X
The auto driver shared the video on X and tagged Bengaluru City Police. He mentions in the video she booked rides on both Ola and Rapido apps. And when asked, denied doing the same. He asked the police and his followers what gave passengers the right to be rude and use obscene words while speaking to the driver.
It seems actually there is issue with software. If you try to book and the system goes on searching for a driver to respond, fails, starts search again. After 2/3 such repetitions, if the user presses back button on phone (instead of aborting), the app goes into background 1/2

This incident in no time sparked a debate on X. @srparuchuri agreed with the passenger and stated that there indeed was an issue with the app’s software. He pointed out how the app continues to search for drivers repetitively in the background if one fails to respond. Others said her aggressive denial proved she was guilty of the same. Some people even chided the driver for filming a video of the woman. Bengaluru Police responded asking for the contact number of the driver and the location of the incident.
Clearly the driver freaked the girls out. Why was he arguing with the girl? Action should be taken against the driver for intimidation! I see breakdown of law and order in Bengaluru.

The person also cannot film the lady and post it online without her permission. I feel that the girl is being harassed here.
