Many passengers often pay their fares to auto drivers before reaching their destinations. Sometimes they willingly do so. Many times, even the drivers ask them to complete the payment. In other instances, several people even end up paying the cost twice. While some drivers do not bother stopping the commuters, some kind-hearted ones take a step to stop them from paying twice. In Bengaluru, a passenger came across a similar experience in interaction with an auto driver.

The OP shared a post stating, “Auto driver reminded me I’ve already paid and stopped me from paying him twice.” While elaborating on the incident, they explained that the driver asked for the fare in between the journey when he stopped at a CNG pump to fuel up. Since this was not the first time when someone asked him to complete the payment before reaching the destination, the Redditor did not mind doing so.

After the Reddit user reached their home, they mindlessly began scanning the auto’s payment QR as they forgot about completing the payment at the CNG pump. However, the auto driver stopped and reminded them that they paid him already. While he could have easily fooled the passenger, he chose to take the right step and stop the individual from overspending twice on this auto ride.
