Eid-Milad is a time of vibrant celebrations, often marked by processions, special prayers, and community events. In Bengaluru, these festivities typically result in increased traffic congestion. To address this, the Bengaluru Police have outlined specific measures to regulate traffic flow and enhance public safety. Key areas affected by the traffic advisory include major roads and localities where processions and gatherings are expected to occur. The advisory highlights that vehicles may face restrictions in and around these zones. Commuters are advised to use alternate routes where possible and to expect significant delays in areas.

The procession will follow these routes and conclude at the YMCA grounds, as outlined in the advisory:

  • JC Nagar Dargah to Shivajinagar Cantonment
  • Yelahanka Old Town Mosque to Yelahanka Old Town Mosque
  • Old Bus Stand to Sannamanikere
  • Bellahalli Cross to Nagawara Signal
  • Rajagopalnagar Main Road to Peenya 2nd Stage
  • South End Circle to RV Road, near Lalbagh West Gate Circle
  • Geeta Junction to South End Circle
  • Bendre Junction to Obalappa Garden Junction
  • Mahalingeshwara Layout to Adugodi

To facilitate a smooth journey for commuters, Bengaluru traffic authorities have imposed the following restrictions:

  • Vehicle movement from Nethaji Junction to Tannery Road via Pottery Circle is prohibited.
  • Traffic will be temporarily one-way from Masque Junction to MM Road Junction; vehicles from Nethaji Junction should proceed towards Mosque Junction.
  • All vehicles are restricted from travelling between Nethaji Junction and Haines Junction.
  • Partial restrictions are in place for vehicles travelling from Nagawara Junction towards Pottery Circle.

  • Vehicles on Richmond Road heading to K.G. Road should use R.R.M.R. Road, Hudson Circle, and Police Corner.
