The waterlogged roads within the tech park resembled lakes and caused significant traffic congestion across major routes in the city. Reportedly, Outer Ring Road and Tumkur Road in the city were some of the worst affected.

Seeing the flood-like situation, many companies inside the massive tech village instructed their employees to stay in their offices. They advised them to wait for the water to clear before leaving the premises. Keeping in mind the city’s current situation, Bengaluru’s Deputy Commissioner also declared a holiday for schools and colleges on October 16.

As per the Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) forecast, it will be a rainy week for Bengaluru. They predicted moderate to heavy rains till October 17 in the city.
