Paakashala JP Nagar Outlet Has An Amusing Signboard

X user Farrago Metiquirke shared a picture of a signboard he came across at Paakashala restaurant’s JP Nagar outlet in Bengaluru. The signboard written in English and Kannada languages states: “This facility is only for dine-in purpose, not for real estate or political discussions. Please understand and cooperate.” The X user in his caption calls says, “clear instructions alright.”

It’s certainly odd for a restaurant or cafe to police diners’ conversations. This was the sentiment echoed by Netizens in the comments sections. With outlets across the city and on major highways, this family diner is known for its clean, hygienic environment and simple delicious meals.

Netizens Have Discussed Reasons Behind The Same

On sighting this unusual signboard at Paakashala’s JP Nagar, outlet, the X user couldn’t help but wonder the reason for it. In the comments section of his post he pondered that people may get agitated while discussing poltics leading to unsavoury expeiences at the restaurant. Another reason, he feels could be that people end up just ordering coffee and occupying tables for a long time to discuss politics or real estate. This hampers the restaurant’s business.

Haha believe people get very agitated if there’s a political discussion and things can go in tangential directions or people just order coffee for the table and talk about politics/real estate for long durations, which may affect the business 😁

Another X user observed that real estate “uncles” can’t visit parks in the afternoon. So, they prefer to grab coffee and carry forward their long discussions at affordable quick service chains. A commenter even spoke about a group of loud men bringing the house down with their work discussions at Cafe Coffee Day. An X user even said that MTR needs to put up a similar board as governmmet servants and contractors hog conversations and tables.
