The double-decker flyover between Ragigudda and Central Silk Board in Bengaluru is now partially over for the public. Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar and Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy conducted a trial on the newly constructed flyover as well.

The double-decker flyover has a Metro line on the upper deck and an elevated road for vehicular traffic on the lower deck. It is one of the busiest junctions of Bengaluru city and sees heavy traffic, especially at peak hours.

The rail-cum-road flyover is part of the Yellow Line of the Bengaluru Metro. As per a report in The Indian Express, Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has said that the Yellow Line will likely be commissioned on this route by the end of 2024. They will operate at least eight trains with a 15-minute headway.
