Outer Ring Road Mess In September

Bengaluru—also referred to as the Silicon City of India—is well-known for its traffic issues, having been named second in the world last year for the slowest drive-through times.

Once more, protests against the Cauvery River water conflict, Ganesh Visarjan, and comedian Trevor Noah’s later-cancelled appearance caused severe traffic congestion on Wednesday along the city’s IT corridor, the Outer Ring Road (ORR).

The Mahadevapura task force, which provides frequent updates on the city’s roads and traffic control, also posted a photo of a severe traffic bottleneck on the Outer Ring Road.

Due to the traffic, the Outer Ring Road Companies Association (ORRCA) sent a warning, asking its members to suggest to their staff that they delay their departure time.

The forthcoming holidays are the reason for the unusually high traffic volume, according to traffic police personnel at HAL airport. Many people are reportedly departing Bengaluru ahead of the prolonged vacation season, according to the police. (As per Live Mint)
