Bengaluru’s The Circus Canteen Is Giving A New Spin To Aesthetics With Discards

The Circus Canteen

Bengaluru is experimental and free-spirited. And The Circus Canteen is an experimental space that celebrates nature, art, culture, science and sustainability. It’s a farm-to-table eatery built and decorated with reclaimed materials that have taken the garden city by storm.

What Make The Circus Canteen Different?

The décor is carefully curated to transport the customers to a world of fun and entertainment. The atmosphere is electric and lively.  It is designed by Smitha Thomas from Multitude of Sins, an interior design studio in Bengaluru. Ranging from home appliances to toy car parts, the materials were then painstakingly curated into categories and used to design an eclectic interior featuring mismatched furniture and flooring.

The restaurant’s vibrant crimson entryway greets you with a maze of teal-hued scrap metal labyrinths, rejected bicycle bells and humorous hand horns.  Even the floor sees a jigsaw puzzle-style mosaic of different tiles.

What To Eat?

The Circus Canteen in Bangalore is not just a restaurant; it is an experience. Their events, cultural performances, workshops, volunteering opportunities, and coworking help them build a sense of community. This eatery spot sends a strong message about how sustainability does not have to be grungy.
