Ask any Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fan (including me) what they think of when they hear the words, “Ee Sala Cup Namde.” And they’d instantly get a bitter-sweet feeling. While our love for this Indian Premiere League franchise is paramount, our sorrow on not bagging the cup (trophy) despite being the most loved team, enjoying the most loyal fanbase for 17 years is unparalleled. Yeh dukh kab khatam hoga? Recently, an Instagrammer posted a reel where he came across ‘RCB Ice Cream’, read on to know what it really is.

Did You Know About RCB Ice Cream?

Instagrammer, Soni Sayam took to his Insta handle, @isayamsoni to share a hilarious reel. The man is seen approaching an ice cream vendor and asking him for a “chocolate ice cream”. As he browses through the menu, he comes across the flavours “mango ice cream” and then stops at one unusual flavour. “Bhaiya yeh RCB ice cream kaunsi hai?” ( Brother, what is this RCB ice cream?) he asks.

Ngl this is funny but hurts 😂

With a poker face, the ice cream vendor replies, “Ice cream without cup.” Ouch! Now if that doesn’t hurt an RCB fan, we wondering what does. Every thought ice cream could leave you burnt. Well, without even eating this “RCB ice cream”, I feel the need for a Burnol! This reel was shared on the RCB subreddit and fans ended up trauma bonding in the comments section. Despite an unexpected and heroic entry into the playoffs this year, RCB lost to RR and couldn’t enter the semi-finals, much to the dismay of fans who took to the streets to celebrate their playoff entry earlier.

Fans Take This Humour In Good Stride

An RCB super fan commented that most fans of the franchise were chill and took these “no cup” jokes in good spirits. Yet they are tagged as “toxic.” Another Redditor corrected that team RCB has a cup since the women’s team led by captain Smriti Mandhana bagged the WPL title earlier this year. It’s the men’s team that hasn’t won a trophy yet.
