Bihar: Sweet Vendor Makes ‘Modi Laddu’ With Saffron, Desi Ghee & Pistachios To Honour PM Narendra Modi

A sweet shop owner in Bihar’s Bhagalpur has introduced a special Diwali menu and it features a festive special laddu named after none other than PM Narendra Modi! This ‘Modi Laddu’ is made with the best of ingredients and has become quite popular in the region. Read on to know more about this special laddu.

This Diwali, a special treat awaits people in Bihar, all thanks to sweet seller Sanjeev Sharma. The sweet shop owner has created a special ‘Modi Laddu’ ahead of Diwali and he has garnered a lot of attention with this mithai. Just like the name suggests, these laddus are named after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and they look quite delicious.

According to an NDTV report, Sanjeev Sharma, AKA Lalu Sharma, is an ardent admirer of PM Narendra Modi. He first made these special, royal laddus when PM Modi first came to power in 2014. Since then, his laddus have gained immense popularity and even helped him make a name for himself.

As per reports, Lalu Sharma feels that these special laddus have made him quite popular across the country as well. Now, people from all over India come to his shop to try these laddus, especially during Diwali.

Why Are These Laddus Special?

According to Lalu Sharma, what makes ‘Modi Laddu’ special are the pure ingredients used to make these laddus. These laddus are made with pure saffron, desi ghee, pistachios, almonds, rose water, rose juice, and water from the Ganga River. The ingredients add a flavoursome taste to the laddus that makes them so popular and hard to resist, feels Lalu Sharma.

Lalu Sharma runs Jai Mata Di Caterers in Bhagalpur and besides the special ‘Modi Laddu’, you can also try his other Diwali specials like the Tiranga Barfi which is made with pistachios, almonds, and cashews or Banaras-Special Aloo Papad to make your Diwali more flavourful.
