Bihar Utsav 2025: All You Need To Know About The Celebration
According to an article that was recently published by OneIndia, the fortnight-long celebration brings together talented rural artisans, weavers and craftspeople from across Bihar. The festival offers visitors a comprehensive glimpse into the state’s diverse cultural tapestry.
Festival-goers can explore an impressive array of handicrafts. These include the region’s celebrated silk, khadi fabrics, and distinctive art forms such as Madhubani, Tikuli and Manjusha paintings. The exhibition also features Swelling embroidery, innovative coin art, and skilfully crafted wood and bamboo products.
A special highlight awaits attendees on March 22. The festival will commemorate Bihar Day with grand cultural programmes. Traditional folk music and dance performances have been arranged to provide an authentic connection to Bihar’s cultural roots and artistic brilliance.

Mr Kundan Kumar, IAS, Resident Commissioner of Bihar Bhawan, inaugurated the event, while Mr Shekhar Anand, IAS, Director of Technical Development, attended as Chief Guest. In their addresses, both officials emphasised the festival’s importance beyond mere exhibition value.
They highlighted how Bihar Utsav serves as a crucial bridge connecting the state’s heritage with national and international audiences, simultaneously providing recognition to local artisans whilst contributing to Bihar’s economic development and cultural preservation.
The festival experience is further enhanced by food stalls offering authentic Bihari cuisine, allowing visitors to savour the state’s culinary traditions alongside its artistic achievements.
