According to an article which was recently published by the Hindustan Times or the HT, this particular tourist attraction closed recently. This was the first time since World War I that the estate had been closed. This drastic step had to be taken owing to Hurricane Helene.
If reports are to go by, the estate witnessed little to no damage owing to the Hurricane. The property is sprawled across 8,000 acres and only the lower-lying areas of the estate were impacted by the flooding that resulted from Hurricane Helene.
Hence, it closed its door to visitors for the very first time since World War I. However, the estate revealed in a post made on Instagram that it will reopen on November 2, 2024.

The Biltmore Estate, given its distinctive style of architecture, draw a lot of visitors. It is estimated that as many as 1.4 million people visit the estate in a year on average. In addition to such a robust footfall, it also employs as many as 2,500 people.
However, during the coronavirus pandemic, the estate was forced to lay off most of its staff. The estate was inspired by a French Chateau that has 250 rooms. The Biltmore Estate was built at the direction of the George Vanderbilt.
It has a conservatory, winery, huge gardens, lawns and overnight properties.
