This little undiscovered eatery in University City, Sharjah is one of the finest in the emirate. Black Salt goes an extra mile to please not just your tummy, but also your eyes. The restaurant swears by the concept of molecular gastronomy – so you can imagine the detailing that goes into presenting the dishes.
What’s It?
A popular hangout among students in Sharjah, Black Salt serves an interesting mix of street foods from around the globe along with a few signature creations. Well, be it anything, we’re sure about one thing- the dishes served here leaves you craving for more.
As for the interiors, the amount of detail gone into creating this ultra-chic interior space is indeed awe-worthy. The space is drenched in shades of browns with copper and black undertones.
What’s On The Menu?
Some of the best fusion dishes have to be the Butter Chicken Chow – the cult favourite Butter Chicken served in a bread bowl with rice and pickle, Shish Tawook on Paratha – Grilled Chicken Tawook served on a flaky crispy paratha, and the Balsamic Tandoori Lamb Chops- Aussie Lamb flavoured in Indian taste served with spicy fries.
However, one dish we recommend you definitely must not miss savouring is the Kunafa Cheese Cake. The rich creamy cheesecake topped with crispy soft kunafa and marzipan sauce will leave you craving for more.
They also have an extensive breakfast menu – serving some of the popular favourites such as Pancakes, Shakshuka, Feta Toasts and more. And in case you’re bored of the standard options, build your own breakfast by picking from a choice of eggs, carbs, sides and beverage.
