Yes, this blue supermoon will be visible in the UAE skies on Monday evening, August 19. Here’s all about the development.

After the Perseid Meteor shower, which lit up skies across the world, UAE sky will now see another special celestial event. The year’s first blue supermoon will be visible in the UAE sky on Monday, August 19. Expected to happen around 8 PM, it will be visible for three days! In fact, this is the first seasonal blue moon. The seasonal blue moon will then next be seen on May 31, 2026. During the celestial event, the moon will appear larger and brighter to the naked eye than it usually does. However, the supermoon does not mean that the moon will actually turn blue.

After This, The Blue Moon will Appear In 2026

Their Fly Me To The Moon screening at their outlet in CityWalk is perfect for people who are fans of the subject. Besides this, you can also watch the supermoon from the Al Barsha Pond Park, which is generally open till 11:30 PM. Or if you are in the mood, you might just want to drive down to Hatta, which is just a two-hour drive from the city of Dubai.

This supermoon will be visible in the UAE and around the world. With a speed of up to 100 meteors per hour, it created bright explosive flashes of light across the skies. Leaving stargazers in awe, the celestial event was certainly a great success and the Dubai Astronomy Group even held a viewing event for enthusiasts.
