Another day, another incident of flight delay. Planes getting delayed for a long time are becoming a frequent incident in recent times. We often hear passengers complaining about airlines and sharing their miserable experiences of prolonged waits at airports. Something similar happened very recently at the Mumbai airport. An Air India flight got delayed exceeding 18 hours and the passengers had to face many issues while stuck inside.

Twitter user Prarthana Sen shared about the harrowing experiences on the microblogging site. Taking to her Twitter account @prarthanasen93, she shared many necessary details of the incident and the flight as well. She shared an entire tweet thread discussing the miserable time inside the Mumbai airport.

The Air India flight that got delayed for more than 14 hours was AI 607 and it was Bengaluru-bound too. Prarthana Sen shared a video that shows how so many families and passengers are stuck inside in a confused and haywire situation.

The passengers of the Air India flight were stuck inside the Mumbai airport premises throughout the entire night. Neither they got access to their own luggage nor the officials and staff provided them with any answers or clarifications on this incident.
No refreshments, no accommodation, no intent to empathise with people who have been mentally abused by the ground staff and officials at @airindia

In fact, no passengers received any kind of refreshments and accommodation facilities from Air India. The Twitter user also complained about how some ground staff and officials of Air India mentally abused some passengers.
Passengers Had To Wait In A Stationary Flight For Over 2 Hours

Another Twitter user named Rik (@potolrik) provided further updates about the Air India delay. He shared that the passengers had to pass through many airport gates while they were stuck at the Mumbai airport. After waiting for about 16 hours, they were taken inside a stationary flight. Unfortunately, the wait did not end there as they had to wait there for more than 2 hours.

Prarthana Sen also tweeted about how the airline has missed the luggage of 4 people after a terrible delay of 18 long hours.

Air India has responded to the tweet and has apologised for the inconvenience. The airline has also asked for the ticket, bag, and contact details to check with the baggage team.
