All the young ones born in 2005, pay attention! We have some really exciting news for you! You can actually visit Europe for free! Yes, you read that right! Under the DiscoverEU program, all 2005-born people can apply to win a free travel pass to Europe. They are offering the opportunity to about 36,000 people born in 2005 to explore the beauty of Europe.

This DiscoverEU autumn call was launched on October 4. The application round will last until October 18. All the youngsters born in 2005 can easily apply for free travel tickets to Europe within the given two weeks. 

In order to apply for these free travel tickets, you must be eligible. This means that you must be a 2005-born child. Better explained, you must have been born between January 1, 2005, and December 31, 2005. 

All the applicants who wish to apply must be citizens of the EU country or a third country that is associated with the Erasmus+ Programme. This includes Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkiye, Iceland, North Macedonia, and Serbia.  (as per SchengenVisaInfo.com,)

According to the reports by SchengenVisaInfo.com, here’s how these youngsters can apply:

  1. Visit the European Youth Portal by clicking HERE.
  2. You will be asked five quiz questions and then one tiebreaker question.

Yes, just two easy steps, and you might win free travel tickets! 

The commission has mentioned that the applicants will also be able to discover the new route. 

The new European Bauhaus route was launched in January 2023. There are many other initiatives launched during the European Year of Youth in 2022 that will be of benefit to these applicants. This includes the DiscoverEU Culture Route and Youth Discovers Culture thanks to DiscoverEU in 2022. 

The programme will also teach these youngsters about environmentally sustainable means of transport. With the free travel passes, the participants will also get a discount card. (as per SchengenVisaInfo.com,)
