Sharjah is a hidden gem when it comes to beautiful structures, unlike Dubai. So Sharjah recently decided to up its game by announcing a mega project. Aljada, the mega-project that will be home to 75,000 people is one of the upcoming marvel projects of Sharjah. Let’s get the deets.

Aljada, An Ambitious Megaproject Of Sharjah

The emirate of Sharjah is one of several stunning constructions and architectural marvels in the United Arab Emirates. Aljada, an ambitious megaproject in Sharjah, has begun successfully and is underway. In addition to hotels, schools, a mall, a commercial area, an observation deck, and an entertainment complex created by Zaha Hadid Architects, Aljada will alter the Sharjah emirate across 24 million square feet.

According to The National, Aljada, a large 2.2 square kilometre site is just a few mins away from the Sharjah airport. It also has universities and the E311 highway nearby. The project is now approximately thirty per cent complete with significant components like the mall and commercial centre remaining to be developed. Aljada, which roughly translates to “the district,” has developed into a popular destination for visitors from all over the United Arab Emirates. There are regulars who come to take advantage of its cafés, farmers market, outdoor cinema, restaurants, supermarkets, skateparks, and bike lanes. The produce from Emirati farms is even sold at a store.

Thinking about commuting? Well, currently, getting to the project requires a car, although it is anticipated that eventually, public buses will stop at Aljada, Sharjah. When construction is complete in 2028, there will be 75,000 people living there.

Any Nationality Can Buy Units In This Project

Properties in Aljada are available for individuals looking to buy real estate. This is a component of a larger trend in Sharjah that began in 2014 when all nationalities were permitted to own properties in the emirate in some regions on a 100-year leasehold.

Sharjah will provide all nationalities freehold by 2022. In addition to assisting growth outside of the historic district and encouraging a more diversified mix of investors, this also helped to reduce some of the traffic congestion in the heart of Sharjah.

Aljada project in Sharjah seems to be a mega but complex project in a real sense.
