This figure is set to rise from 962 million in 2017 to 1.4 billion. Looking further ahead to 2050, projections indicate that this number will more than double, reaching 2.1 billion older adults worldwide.

Dubai’s growing ageing population comes with both challenges and opportunities. It demands the creation of sustainable economic structures capable of accommodating and integrating this age group. Foster active ageing initiatives, enabling senior citizens to actively participate in the economy and society.

The CDA places a primary emphasis on mental health when crafting its services for senior citizens. The organization acknowledges the significance of issues such as social isolation, loneliness, and the decline in everyday personal and social activities.
