Bengaluru Airport Tunnel To Ease Traffic Congestion & Reduce Travel Time
A new infrastructure project named Eastern Connectivity Tunnel is all set to make the lives of the people in the city a lot better! According to Hindustan Times, this tunnel project is part of BIAL’s expansion strategy to support Bengaluru’s rapidly growing aviation sector. Once complete, the tunnel will connect the eastern region of Bengaluru to the airport. This will help ease traffic congestion and also reduce travel time.
This new tunnel will directly connect areas like Whitefield, Sarjapur, and Mahadevapura, to the Bengaluru Airport. As per reports, it will reduce travel times by approximately 30 minutes! Furthermore, it will alleviate traffic congestion at Hebbal Flyover, as it is designed to bypass it and provide an alternative route from the eastern state highway.
