But that’s not all the Ministry had to share! The announcement also includes other notable historical recognitions. Among them is the reliquary containing the skull of Saint Catherine, now officially recorded in the archaeological archives. Situated within the Church of the Transfiguration at Saint Catherine’s Monastery in Sinai, this relic adds a mystical layer to Egypt’s historical narrative.

Moreover, the spotlight now shines on 71 artefacts from the royal hall at Alexandria’s Sports Stadium. Previously listed under the General Administration of Antiquities and Artifact Possession, these artefacts have now received formal recognition. Each item contributes to a deeper appreciation of Egypt’s regal history and enriches the country’s cultural heritage.

These new registrations are more than mere formalities—they celebrate and protect Egypt’s rich and diverse history. The Ministry’s initiative to officially document these sites and artefacts underscores a commitment to preserving the past while enhancing the present.
