Canada Visa Policy: From Ending 10-Year Tourist Visa Validity To Tightening Post-Study Visa Rules; All About It

A visa is the way to enter any country, whether for visiting or working purposes, while every country has its own visa policy. While some countries have it easy, others have a pretty difficult visa policy. By no longer issuing tourist visas of 10 years duration and doing away with the practice of giving multiple-entry visas, the Government of Canada has updated its visa policy.

New Guidelines In The Visa Policy By The Government Of Canada

New rules provide immigration officials the authority to choose whether to grant single-entry or multiple-entry visas and to establish the duration of validity. With a maximum validity of 10 years or until the travel document or biometrics expires, the multiple-entry visa permits numerous entries from any nation. Updated guidelines from Canada’s immigration department make it clear that officers are now free to choose how long multiple-entry visas are valid and that they are no longer the standard paperwork, as reported by News18.

The government received criticism from Immigration Minister Marc Miller for failing to address the housing situation sooner.

Marc Miller, Canada’s immigration minister, has recognised that migration is aggressive and that something needs to be done. He thinks that in order to solve the problem of too many immigrants, the government and the nation could have taken action sooner, as reported by News18.
