Here in Abu Dhabi, shortly thereafter this year we will see the opening of the largest artificial wave establishment in the entire globe. The world’s longest ride, largest barrel, and largest man-made wave pool can all be found at Surf Abu Dhabi. The company has chosen Hudayriat Island to be its location.
It is planned that the facility will soon play host to significant international competitions that are open to everyone from amateur to professional surfers. The project for the island, which will cover 51 million square metres, by Modon Properties includes the announcement of Surf Abu Dhabi.
The largest urban park in Abu Dhabi and the first velodrome in the region are also part of the massive Modon project for Hudayriyat Island, which is scheduled to open by the end of 2023. The Kelly Slater Wave Co., an organisation led by pro surfing legends, collaborated on its design.
This is genuinely top-class water sports, with the ability to stage major tour contests and provide the biggest barrel, longest ride, and longest man-made wave pool in artificial surfing history. However, the facility offers thrills for novices and aspiring Point Breakers with virtually little possibility of you getting hurt on a sand bar. It’s not only for experienced surf dudes.

Post the launch of the Everest of Wave Poools in 2023, a new adventurous project is coming to Abu Dhabi. According to reports, the first UCI Category 1 indoor cycling track in the area will open at Velodrome Abu Dhabi. This enables it to offer a variety of track-based tournaments and host world championships. A rooftop track with a 600-meter cycling inclination climbing up along the exterior walls, displaying a stunning 360-degree panorama of Hudayriyat and the angular skyline of Abu Dhabi city, is among the noteworthy features and important data.
