Chef Ranveer Brar Recited A Few Lines From His Upcoming Poetry Book For Us!

Ranveer Brar

We’ve invited many guests to our new Pan-Asian paradise in Mumbai, Shifuku by Curly Tales. But our greatest pleasure has been to host none other than celebrity chef and actor Ranveer Brar. On our Sunday Brunch episode, Ranveer graciously taught our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani to make sushi from scratch and also sat down to speak to us about his illustrious careers in food, films and poetry.

Ranveer Brar Recites A Few Poems For Us Which Tugged Our Heartstrings

Trust Ranveer Brar to leave no stone unturned when it comes to storytelling. His food, acting performances and even his poetry speak volumes. One look at his eyes and you’d feel the intensity that lie behind them. Kamiya Jani asked Ranveer Brar to recite a few lines from his book of poems. The chef-actor-poet candidly confessed that his kavitas or poems are sad while our Sunday Brunch show was a happy one.

Needless to say, Ranveer Brar wowed us with his penmanship and poetry that tugged our heartstrings. One of his poems highlighted the difference between people who believed in walls and doors. Some couldn’t see hope ahead and others lived in hope. Another poem spoke about a man holding money in his hand, waiting to make a purchase. Little did he know that he himself had been bought in the bazaar of love. Ranveer revealed that he utilises his free time to write poems. Mainly during his flight journeys.

Where does he draw his inspiration from? “I’ve been lucky, I’ve lived a life of more failures than successes. So, I’ve had good teachers,” Ranveer shares. Of course, we had to interject and remind him about his tremendous success. But Ranveer counters that success can be seen but the numerous failures in his life can’t.
