On this episode of Sunday Brunch, our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani had an insightful conversation with Chef Ranveer Brar. We spoke of passion, drive, success, failure and other parts and parcels of life. We learned that Ranveer Brar may be a chef but his insights are deep enough for him to be a philosopher. So, while munching on delicious Pan-Asian delicacies at Shifuku by Curly Tales, the food maestro whipped up a few life lessons for us!

Chef Ranveer Brar Revealed How He Handles Challenges

While speaking about his numerous accomplishments, Kamiya Jani asked him how he ended up being so lucky in life. He said that when you’re down in the dumps in life, it may feel challenging but it is often life preparing us for our future opportunities.

He also revealed that he has been writing poetry since he was 13 years old. Only now has he decided to publish a poetry book. Hence, he believes that the tough times of life and the challenging circumstances of life are merely preparatory.

For example, he said that when he was unemployed in the US, he got a chance to nurture his love for films. And today, we’ve already seen him as an actor! Funny how life plays out. It’s almost never what you expect it to be!

The Cinephile Has Seen All The Movies Of Majid Majidi

While talking about his love for movies, he revealed that he was a massive cinephile. One of his favourite directors of all time is the Iranian moviemaker Majid Majidi. Ranveer Brar also told us that he has watched all of his films.

‘Children of Heaven’ is especially close to his heart as he’s watched it countless times already. Given his love for movies, the fact that he got to be on camera is doubly special to him. He never thought that this was what life had in store for him!
