Sanjeev Kapoor Shares Farali Paniyaram Recipe For Navratri
To help you through the dilemma of what to eat while fasting, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor shared the perfect recipe on his Instagram. In his latest post, he gave an easy and delicious recipe for Farali Paniyaram that you can try out for yourself. For the recipe, the chef has replaced the usual rice/dal in the paniyaram batter with Amaranth flour. Commonly known as rajgira atta, it is widely consumed in India while fasting. He has also kept the entire recipe quite simple and straightforward, so you can easily replicate it at home!
A Must Try Recipe For All The People Fasting This Navratri
Ingredients:
- Amaranth (rajgira) flour
- Boiled Potato
- Coriander
- Yoghurt
- Green chilli
- Ginger
- Roasted peanuts
- Rock salt (sendha namak) to taste
- Ghee
Method:
- Start by combining the Amaranth flour with some grated boiled potato in a bowl.
- Then add some chopped-up coriander and yoghurt to it.
- In a mixer, grate green chilli and ginger with a little water to make a thick paste.
- Add the paste to the rest of the ingredients.
- Then, add some crushed roasted peanuts and rock salt to the bowl.
- To bring the batter together, add some ghee and water to the bowl and mix it well till you get a thick consistency.
- Next, put the paniyaram pan on the stove and add ghee to grease it well.
- Pour some batter into each section and cover it with a lid to cook it well.
- Let it cook till you get a nice golden-brown colour. Now, flip the paniyaram and cook it on the other side.
- Once both sides are well cooked, turn off the heat and your dish is ready to be served.
