Chef Velton Saldanha Gives A Glimpse Of Sonam Kapoor’s Party Menu

Chef Velton Saldanha gave us a glimpse of what Sonam Kapoor’s intimate house party menu looks like. The chef took to Instagram to share some BTS, along with the menu, while cooking for an intimate party of 6-8 people. According to his post, the chef was asked to “create a special menu for an intimate, upscale dinner party.” So, for the menu, he decided to have a “fun, relaxed Indian theme, mixing thali elements with pre-plated elegance.”

The chef served Chicken & Basil Shorba for soup. For the main course, he elegantly presented Kerala Style Curry, Honey Roasted Duck Masala, Kolkata Style Veggie Milk Pulao, Jeera Baby Aloo, Green Beans & Coconut Sabzi, Roasted Black Pepper Chicken, Patli Dal, Crispy Garlic Brussel Sprouts, Stir-Fried Chutney Veggies, and steam rice along with some papad, pickles, and chutneys. This menu is enough to get us drooling!

Velton Saldanha is Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s private chef in the UK. He recently appeared in one of Sonam’s reels where she gave her fans a glimpse of what she eats in a day.

Besides the main dishes, Chef Velton Saldanha mentioned in his post that the cocktail hour of Sonam Kapoor’s party featured a grazing board and a unique Aloo Tikki chaat. For the chaat, he used chilled coconut yoghurt with parsley and cilantro chutney. Also, the tikki was made with spiced sweet potato and almondine. Coming to the dessert at this party, the chef decided to go for something simple and straightforward. He served a variety of gelatos and sorbets to the guests and it definitely looked colourful and delicious!

Of course, Sonam Kapoor’s house party menu wasn’t going to be something simple! We love how the chef and the host went for desi flavours for the intimate party. What dish would you have loved to try from this menu? Let us know in the comments!
