December 2024 marks a memorable month for the chef. From celebrating his NYC restaurant to joining a team for a new show, this year’s last month has been filled with unforgettable experiences and the most precious moments. On December 23, his restaurant Bungalow in New York completed 9 months. On the same day, he also excitedly began an incredible culinary expedition for MasterChef India.
To celebrate these memories and make these moments count, he visited the iconic Arisipada Shree Mariamman Devasthanam in Mumbai. Celebrating these joyous occasions, the chef shared glimpses of his spiritual experience and wrote, “As Bungalow completes 9 auspicious months and I begin a new journey of MasterChef India. Thankful to the Universe for so much love and blessings.”
During his visit to this religious site in Malad West, he offered prayers, sought blessings, had prasad, and walked around with folded hands. The pandit ji also put a tika on Chef Vikas’s forehead. Taking to Instagram, he shared that he also visited the beautiful temple on his last day over a year ago. Devotees love visiting this temple on Link Road to immerse themselves in calming spiritual experiences.

Chef Vikas Khanna, a renowned face representing MasterChef India for years, flew with Air India to reach the venue. Posing with the cabin crew, he shared a picture on Instagram and thanked the airline for its warm hospitality and great food. En route to his journey, he savoured Beetroot Tikki with Mint Chutney. Praising the in-flight dishes, the chef shared, “Best Beetroot Tikki + Mint Chutney ever.” Now that’s a compliment every cook wishes for!
