The lore goes that each of us has at least seven doppelgangers (AKA look-alikes) across the world. For Netizens, coming across celebrity doppelgangers has been fascinating. Collages to compare the resemblance, hilarious memes and funny comments add to their amusement. With Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) storming into the Indian Premier League (IPL) finals 2025 after demolishing Punjab Kings in the first qualifier match, we came across a Virat Kohli look-alike at a temple in Odisha, thanks to a viral video.
Netizens Point Out Resemblance Of Odisha Priest With Virat Kohli
A YouTube video posted by food vlogger Pratham Arora gives a glimpse of ‘India’s mega kitchen’ at Ananta Vasudeva Temple in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. The vlogger was seen visiting the 13th-century temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. Later, Arora gives a tour of the kitchen where the prasad, a spread of vegetarian delicacies, is being cooked in the kitchen by the priests.
But what surprised Netizens the most was a priest in the kitchen who bore a striking resemblance to Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli. The light-eyed man with a thick beard and mane explained that the temple served the same prasad every day. And it consisted of rice, sweet rice, ghee rice, two types of dal, mustard sabzi, chana sabzi, date chutney, dahi pachadi and kheer. All the dishes are cooked in earthen vessels and served on banana leaves. Apart from being fascinated with the workings of the temples, Netizens couldn’t get enough of the Virat Kohli doppelganger.

Comments Section Captures Reactions
An X user, Sunil the Cricketer, reposted a snippet of Pratham Arora’s video. And the comments section was flooded with Netizens pointing out the similarity of the priest with the cricketer. While one asked if it was AI, only to be refuted. Another found him to be a “pehelwan” (wrestler) version of Virat Kohli. Others joked about the cricketer switching his career post-retirement and getting into the “puja-paath” life. A person even asked, “Chiku Bhaiya, is that you?”
Meanwhile, what do you think about Chiku Bhaiya’s doppleganger in Odisha? Do you also think the resemblance is uncanny?
